Happy Memorial Day weekend ladies! (This time an American holiday tradition.) Having never celebrated a Memorial Day myself I looked it up and this is what I found "Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 25 in 2009). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service." For you Canadian readers, it is a much warmer equivalent to our Remembrance Day. I m not sure how many people are sitting on their computer during a warm holiday weekend so I will keep this simple. I on the other hand have a babe napping so I have an excuse. :) On to important matters. Pads! Voting is still open on the Go With the Flow 11" bamboo number. The price has been changed so if that influenced your vote last time, you can amend it now. Go here to do so: http://clothbank.net/node/789 Pads waiting to be inventoried but are ready for purchase are as follows; Kristin's Kreations, Heavy flow pad which can be viewed here: http://clothbank.net/node/759 These pads need some lovin' ladies! About the bank needing shares
About the bank needing shares back... This is something that's opposite most monetary systems, so it's kinda hard to explain, but it's impossible for the bank to have shares. Shares only exist when they are in personal and community accounts. When you spend them at the bank, they disappear and are gone forever. Weird, huh?
To get the most out of your shares and to help the bank grow stronger, use shares to buy and sell things amongst yourselves via the offered and wanted listings, donate them to community accounts, and buy pads from the bank as you need them. It's good for bank inventory to circulate and it's always nice when a pad finds a happy home, but the bank doesn't make profits and doesn't actually benefit from taking shares back. Crazy, I know.
ETA Instead of putting shares back into the bank, the important thing is to make sure they are evenly distributed between individual and community accounts. Current distribution at a glance can be viewed here: http://clothbank.net/node/348 and is updated at random times.
